Contract logistics
Contract logistics is a particular form of outsourcing logistical services. Under this concept services are pooled, which a service provider then plans, in a package for shipping agents based on a long-term contract, and are carried out either by the service provider itself or by a third party. In the process these services should account for a significant volume and usually encompasses several logistical functions. Contract logistics proposals exist in the areas of distribution, production and procurement logistics.
